Messenger, you could wear it with your vintage outfit. The 1920s, 30s 40s were the era of handbags and it was not common to wear your bag across the body like those days. I have to search for some military, post, etc. equipment that looks good and transform the design a little bit, add some pockets but I think the genuine vintage feeling was not washed away.
